The upcoming event!
HIS birthday is coming! Gosh, have been having a big headache trying to think of something to do on HIS birthday. Pressie not yet bought yet too! Ha ha, but its still fun trying to plan for something to make HIM happy. Thought of posting today as just realized that its 1 month away from our 5 yrs anniversary!! WOAH~ hehe. Half a decade so to speak. OMG. Haha. Emailed HIM early this morning to remind him of it and HE was also shocked that its coming 5 yrs. haha. A bit scary to think how you can be with another for so long? Well well.. hope everything goes smoothly this sat. Work Vs Life
Guess things get tough when one's working and one's unemployed. One's so drained off after a whole day of work plus OT-ing and just hoping to have a good rest or sleep, whereas the other is always so energised and hoping for some excitement or activities to do when they get together. A job really determines how you lead your life. The extend it took up your time and the impact on your personal life. I appreciate him for looking me up even after he ended late, but really... do we really get any quality time spent? Or maybe is it now that I am unemployed, less occupied so I start to ponder upon things like that. "I've really nothing better to do now?"or is it that this really is an issue which I only got time to uncover now? mY liTtLe sUrPRise for HIM
Seeing him working so long hours lately and feeling low morale, I decided to do something to cheer HIM on. Suddenly out of no where I thought of doing this e-scrapbook for HIM. First thing, this has to make HIM laugh if not smile, else it defeats its purpose, haha. Next of course, it has to be aesthetically pleasant, at least passable by me =)Hard time looking for a decent photo to put. Wanted to put our couple pic initially, but seems a bit typical and not quirky enough to steal a smile from HIM. Then I recall that HE enjoys laughing at my silly poses (instructed by HIM!). So I skimmed through my thousand and one photos for a stupid yet nice, funny yet not too embarrassing photo to be sent to HIM. Well, I do not want any colleagues of HIS who happen to walk pass when HE open the attachment to see a hideous pic of mine right? HA.Well, after some figuring of how the whole scrapbooking thing works, managed to did it within an hour. Scrapbooking Frenzy
It is long overdue for us to compile our pictures taken at the previous trip to Colmar Tropicale - A French Themed Resort. We were inspired to do a scrapbook for this time round instead of having a decorated photo album like what we did for our US trip. Took several hours to complete this page for our first attempt at scrapbooking. But nevertheless we are very satisfied with the results of this cover page.
Some close up of the embellishments used on this page:
The flowers, assorted buttons, a tag with distress ink on the borders and of cause a violet vinyl sticker at the edge of the page for the finishing touch
Just completed this page of "US" today. To get this layered look, added in transparencies and a couple of different texture papers. Also, did some weaving, addition of jewels, studs, etc, making it more bling bling!
